Fabrication and Installation
Completed the project on budget
Project Summary
Phase 3 Real Estate Partners engaged us to develop a concept design and cost estimate for an in-suite egress stair within their building. Following approval of the concept, the stair was incorporated into a broader tenant improvement (TI) project for the suite.
Our team produced a complete set of structural drawings, which were seamlessly integrated into the overall TI permit package. After securing approval of the shop fabrication drawings, approximately 60% of the stair components were fabricated at our Anaheim, CA facility and transported as a prefabricated βkitβ to the jobsite in San Mateo, CA.
Installation was executed over three phases, spanning approximately 16 working days. The onsite scope included installation of temporary shoring, erection of structural steel for the floor opening, placement of stair stringers and tread pans, guardrail installation, finish painting, and the final installation of stainless-steel guardrail cable and polished stainless-steel handrails.
